Hi!  I'm Nanette from HeartBabyHome.

In 2008, my youngest twin was born with a complex congenital heart defect. I couldn't find a heart image anywhere that showed all her specific defects together.  This made it harder to explain her situation to my support group.  I started a blog and did the best I could to use similar images and explain their differences.

Last year I started a service that provides custom heart images depicting congenital heart defects that may be reposted on blogs, carepages, other social networking sites. I recommend having a blog or designated spokesperson to tell family/friends news and updates about your heart baby.  It zaps all your strength to try to tell everyone one at a time.

Parents can request a heart at http://www.HeartBabyHome.com/contact/

The heart images and text descriptions of CHDs on HeartBabyHome  may be be used for personal (non-commercial) use without violating copyright laws.  Please attribute the image or text to Heart Baby Home so other parents who need this service can easily find it.
I hope that the heart images and text descriptions provided on the HeartBabyHome Website will ease the burden of other parents dealing with congenital heart defects during a stressful time.

I'm very interested in heart other heart babies' stories.  I especially love to hear about older kids who lived through the first several years that we're in right now. I am always looking for new hearts to draw, so please don't be shy about asking :)

My daughter has had the Norwood and Glen procedures. Hopefully she'll have the Fontan later this year.

thanks. And it is wonderful to have my son in middle school. i justwish there would've been better support groups whe i was expecting him. we felt completely overwhelmed and isolated as the drs gave us such grave diagnosis'. when he was first born we were told he would never reach kindergarten without a heart transplant and i am proud to say he's proved that wrong! Every visit brings more encouraging news as new advancements are made, but we also have our share of setbacks.

Thank You For Your Support
