Baby Cassiana's diagnosis story--Due June 2009 (HLHS, DORV, mitral atresia, malposed great vessels)

On February 5, 2009 the OB nurse called to tell me that my sequential screening came back abnormal. The results showed that I had a 1:35 chance of having a baby with Down Syndrome. She asked if I wanted to go for an amnio. This was a decision my husband and I needed to make together through the guidance of God. Cassiana is here!!

Baby Cassiana was born on June 22 at 9:16 PM. She weighs 6 lbs 11 1/2 oz and is 19 1/2 inches long. Praise the Lord, she is doing well!! The team of doctors will do more exams and will decide near the end of the week what the plan of action will be for her.
