When I was 12 weeks pregnant I had a positive IPS test result. I decided to have an amnio to better prepare myself if my baby had a chromosome abnormality. Fortunately, the test was negative. I was relieved. Unfortunately, my 20 week scan showed fluid around her heart. I was sent to see a cardiologist. My baby girl has six different conditions. She has ventricular inversion, pulmonary stenosis, double outlet right ventrile, vsd, asd, and dextrocardia.I am scheduled for another Echo in 2 weeks.

He was in and out of UCLA five times before his 6 month ICU stay. He had alot of things go wrong and that is not common, but he survived and is amazingly normal. He was my first child and I was a wreck, brokenhearted mom, to say the least. It is a scary experience to go through. Life changing, but good stuff too. My son had two open heart surgeries in his first year of life with horrible complications. He is now 13!! Healthy and smart as can be, we just go to the cardiologist every year. The CHD road is pure parent torture, but know that there is so much they can do now.
